Through doula birth services, nurturing care and support are provided that traditional obstetrical care can not always provide. As your birth doula, I offer non-medical, personal 1-on-1 care during pregnancy and the birth of your baby.
1-2 prenatal meetings
On call 24/7 text and email support two weeks before your expected delivery date until birth
Labor and delivery birth support
Postpartum visit at home 1-2 weeks after birth
Postpartum doulas help families create an after-birth plan and support families transitioning from birth to parenthood. As your postpartum doula, I offer breast and bottle feeding support, emotional support, and overnight support if needed, to prepare families for the long term postpartum period.
Services may include:
Assistance with writing a "postpartum plan"
Back to work planning including pumping support and bottle-feeding
In-home private infant feeding (nursing and/or bottle) & newborn care classes
Light cleaning, organizing, cooking (meal prepping)
Lactation Counselors help mother achieve their breastfeeding goals. By assessing the latching and feeding process and intervening when necessary, a lactation counselor understands and applies their knowledge of milk production by counseling the mother.
As a Certified Lactation Counselor, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and certified by the Academy of Lactation Policy, my goal is to educate and support mothers through their journey of breastfeeding.
